Welcome!

On the pages of this blog you will read about the lives of my great great grandparents, Walter Henry Barnett (Harry), and his wife Elizabeth Lanfear, and their children. Harry and Elizabeth arrived in New Zealand separately, from England, in the late 1870s, married in Auckland, then started their family.

This blog is a record of the Barnett family's beginnings in New Zealand. I hope that the descendants of Harry and Elizabeth will enjoy reading about their roots. Please note that this blog is a work in progress. I plan to upload stories the whole family gradually.
